So, after charging my battery I go to turn over the car. Pump primes but then nothing, no click, dead. The headlights don't dim and after testing the small black energising lead to the solenoid, I have power there, so I don't think it can't be the immobiliser. Am I right in thinking that the solenoid is not working/engaging the yolk (as that would be the 'click') and hence the motor itself is not getting any power to turn?? Anybody got any ideas and if the starter motor has to come off, anyone done it themselves? Cheers for any help.

Before committing yourself jump a small wire from the starter main feed bolted cable to the small male spade to energize the starter to see if it cranks 1st (make sure its it neutral) wink

Also get your battery checked with a proper tester. If it's knackered it can still show 12V+ but drop right away when put on load.

Jumped the main feed with the spade connector and it turned. Looked again at the volts at the ignition/energizer lead and there is there is less than 2v when the ignition is turned. I'm sure I had more yesterday but I suppose i could have set the meter wrong and missed a decimal point. Immobiliser next on list.....
