Looking at mx5s etc (yes still) for a cheap toy and just stumbled across this mr2 veranti. I have never heard of them before.

can anyone tell me more? whats the score with them? whats it likely to be worth?

I take it that as a kit car insurance will be cheap?

You could ask the same question in the kit car sub forum for an informed insight.

I have sat in one at a car show & the quality was excellent & I personally like the styling.

Weirdly i saw one of these for the first time yesterday in the local supermrket car park (not quite the same lights etc but a 'convertible' MR2 nontheless) Didn't think it looked quite right, especially the roof, which was up and did not look altogether waterproof.

If it had the standard body kit, lights and open normal vent, i'd quite like the car. My T-bar was never quite open enough for me, however in the form it's in its just too much barry.

I agree, a bit too barry for my liking. Some Mk3 MR2s with subtle kits / wheels and spoiler or lips can look really good, but this is over the top.
