Bloody Nissan Navara's
Discussion
Has anyone ever seen a well driven Navara?
I swear every one I see is badly driven, they tailgate, do crazy overtakes, and intimidate other drivers.
I know a lot of pastry lock openers drive them, but that doesn't explain the behaviour of the others.
They make Audi drivers seem courteous.

seem to be driven by a lot of tradesmen
and excuse me for generalising
but most tradesmen can't drive a nail into a bit of wood, never mind a car
What a complete load of crap, I see many more office types driving like bellends but thats not really suprising as office types generally are more "bellend'ish" anyway.and excuse me for generalising

As per my other thread, it seems part of the issue is that Navara's seem to outnumber other 'modern' pick-ups by about 5 to 1. Particularly here in Costa Del Essex. There must be some cracking deals on 'em. (Or some other reason that I know not of)
If you are a small ltd company then it's a commercial vehicle, and if you "only" use it for business, there are no personal tax liabilities. So effectively you can take money out of the business for a whopping great 4x4 with f
koff bull bars and it's tax free. I did the calculations myself, and decided I'd rather charge my business 45p a mile for using my own car, as that was more profitable to me, plus I didn't need the hassle of it being business use only, but if the miles you are doing is quite low then it might make sense.
An alternative is the Transit half van, half MPV. A plumber I knows has a 6 seat transit (3 up front, 3 in the middle, and the back is van which is bigger than a 2 astra max's in there.
i'm neither a moron, tradesman, traveller, bull sticker wearer or office worker. I enjoy driving my Navara courteously , they outsell Mitsubishi's etc because they are better, the new v6 is an equivalent spec to a Range Rover and you can't claim the vat back on one of those, i don't drive it any different to any of my other vehicles.

I think they are brilliant pickups but they have attracted more than their fair share of muppets. They are quicker, have more toys and are shinier than your average pickup which if both there selling point and downfall. Most people I work with in the arb/land management industry drive pickups but they are all workhorses and tend to be hilux, ranger or rodeo. Personally I think the Navara is just too shiny to be worked. As someone mentioned they are classed as a commercial so you can claim you vat back very easily and fund it from your business.
