There's a new Vred that's supposed to be excellent - not sure if it's with the tyre shops yet: Ultrac Vorti; supposedly has a different tread construction for the fronts and rears, with narrower fronts being focussed on rain dissipation and the wider rears on grip/traction, 285's in this case.

Vreds are excellent and are a real bargain from the right dealer. I used them on my RS6 with excellent results and will be fitting them to the M5 when i get back from LM24.
I can second Vreds after having them on both a Noble & Z4M (OK not an M5 but still high performance cars). They're a little noisy and pretty hard compound so take a while to get to temperature but great tyres and nothing matches them for the price IMO.Used Vredestein on my E39 M5, excellent tyres, as already stated a little noisy but better than many. Also had Falken 452 on it brand new when I first bought, OK for a short while and then turned to play dough, have never understood what people like about them! Currently running Conti 5p on a well modified 335d, these are superb tyres although again not the quietest.
