mrs got rid og her 1.6 petrol 2wd after a year because she didnt like it for some reason. It was a tekna so it had loads of kit.
My observations were the boot is a joke, it really needs a sixth gear. When driving it always felt like it was straining at the leash. She averaged 39.8 mpg in her 9000 miles. The dash board plastics are a bit crap but its well put together and actually quite fun to drive.
We did initially order the turbo 4x4 but at the time it was only built in japan and tsunami related issues delayed it far far too long so we cancelled.

The wife wants a Juke. Are they any good? If it was the Dig-T 4x4 version it would be more interesting. She wants the 1.6 CVT version.
Does anyone have one or have any views?

My mrs had one for a week through work recently, wasn't interested in it myself .. Until I drove it the night before it went back.Does anyone have one or have any views?

The sport mode, boost and g meters helped
.. Tho SWMBO wernt impressed "can you stop putting it in sport mode I feel sick" .. I was quite surprised and impressed I have to say, I'd consider getting one as a family motor/car for the mrs one day definitely.Â
It's looks really grew on me, and I did enjoy the high seating position and even not in 'hoon mode' it felt a nice drive.
Not sure what model it was tbh, just that it had the toys, dark 17s looked good against the black paint, had an auto box but changed quickly. I can't recall seeing any badge (other than Juke) on the back.
Definitely worth a proper test drive.
We recently bought the DIG-T 4X4 CVT - the looks, admittedly, are an acquired taste but, as an ownership proposition the Juke is pretty good. Yes, the boot is small (especially with the 4WD as there's a spare wheel as opposed to additional storage), and fuel economy's not great, but interior seating space is good for the size of car that it is. Having the Tekna trim, the car's loaded with kit.
Would I recommend one? So far, yes. We traded into a Juke from a B7 RS4 because I felt that, five years in, big bills might start to come our way with the Audi and, with a 0% finance deal over three years (and three years' servicing for £250), the Juke couldn't be ignored; also, the wife refused to drive the RS4 so I did pretty well keeping it as an only car for as long as I did. When the time is right, I'll own another performance car but, for now, the Juke hits the spot.
One final thing - the DIG-T makes the standard 1.6 litre car seem really sluggish. If you can stretch to it, go for the top of the range model.

I've got one with the dCi engine because it was on a very cheap lease deal. It's not bad to drive, not much in the way of feedback but game enough, very well specced, comfortable and cheap. It's actually a lot of fun to drive enthusiastically around town but not much cop on a back road.
I wouldn't go for the manual 1.6 as it's only a five speed box and the ratios are quite short so on the motorway it's thrashing away - it's a supermini drivetrain in a bigger car. The CVT box fixes that though.
It's not a PH car, but for the money it's a good car if you want something a bit different to the standard eurobox.
There are some cracking deals to be had on new ones at the moment, check out the broker sites like drivethedeal.

A month ago I also thought it was ugly. A friend got one recently to replace her X5 (too expensive, things going wrong on it). She loves it and the look has grown on me. Maybe it is ahead of its time in design. They seem bigger than I thought when you get inside it.
I believe the 1.6T version has the engine that will be in the next RenaultSport Clio, I assume RS will tune it up from the 180bhp though.
I now prefer its looks to the Cashcow thing, which looks to plain to me.
SV - what sort of average economy do you get on the Dig-T one?
Cheers

It still gets referred to as the Nissan Puke in our household, but, after having one for a couple of days as a loaner from work I've got to admit it's perfectly adequate. The comments about needing a sixth gear are very valid as are the sport mode comments. All in all it's not a bad little car, not sure if I would have one if I was buying it, but I wouldn't be completely adverse to the prospect.

I didn't like them when they first came out and couldn't see their appeal, but I really like them now, especially when they are in all one (dark) colour.
