HI anyone know for a drivers side m5 wing mirror e39 m5 2000 w plate

some clown decided to hit mine and its snapped right of the mounting unrepairable

avus blue preferably .... have been trawling the net and the breakers etc

any help thanks

yes have sent an enquiry through yesterday only had one reply so far they want 300 for the part which aeems a little steep for a used part havent had a dealer price yet though but i know that will be a kings ransom

Dealer price was in the region of £450 last time I checked, that's for the folding version which I think all M5s have? Plus fitting, paint etc...

It's usually the internal aluminium cast bracket that breaks, causing the mirror to droop. When mine was broken I bought a secondhand mirror with a cracked casing in Ebay for £59 and swapped over the internal bracket which was sound. A bit trickey routing the wiring. Before making that 'find' I investigated having a couple of brackets made by a frind with a 5 axis mill, it would still be cheaper than a new mirror. I still have the drawings somewhere.
