Whats cheap to buy, cheap to insure & fun to drive?
Discussion
Looking for a car that has to meet some tough criteria. Looking for a car that I can use at weekends, run around in, that is fun to drive. It will also be used by lad to learn to drive in and have occasional use when he has passed his test, so has to be a low insurance group. The budget is around £1500.
So far I have a (very) short list;
Citroen C2 GT. Not interested in the flappy paddle VTR.
Peugeot 306 D Turbo
Peugeot 206 XSi
Mazda MX5 had to stick on the list, no idea what the insurance will be on a MkI 1.6 though.
Anything else I should be considering?

I think the insurance company will decide, the 306 will be the cheapest unless the 206xsi is a 1.4.So far I have a (very) short list;
