Mallory - What's it like ?

Thinking of doing a track day at Mallory, However concerned it's a little short and may get overcrowded !

I found it quite boring. Flat and mundane. Short but I didn't find it crowded.

I`ve done it once and have no desire to go back now I`ve driven it. There are much more challenging circuits IMO.

Totally disagree!!! Yes Malory is short but to say it's not a challinging is un fair turning into Gerard's at 100 + mph or taking devils elbow without lifting not just challinging but scarey!!!!!!!!

Not a circuit I want to go back to time after time but agree with post above. There are some good ballsy corners. Never found it crowded and the two straights mean you don't get stuck behind someone for long anyway. Had fun every time I have been there.

I enjoyed it much more than I thought. It does not on the face of it look that interesting but I think people should try it. Most circuits have their good and points. Need to make your own mind up.

It's worth doing at least once.

I enjoyed it on the bike, not really feeling the need to go back again (on the bike) but I'd have another go in a car sometime.

Well worth doing, clearly not the most complicated circuit in terms of layout but you could spend all day working out the detail and Gerrards is epic.

The hairpin's good for drifting in the wet. Come down on 23rd you'll enjoy it, it's normally an open pitlane too so never crowded.

I agree it is worth doing, I`d certainly try it once, but it isn`t on the list of tracks I`d like to do multiple times, thats all.

Crap in a car, better on a bike but still not worth the effort for me.

Some mixed views on here but generally the view is it's not great, However I may still give it a go, Legally giving the car a blast can't be that boring !

Done it a few times. Not my Fav by far, but well worth going once to make your own mind up.

I think I would have liked it more had I been a bit quicker! I found it bloody scary! I couldn't live with this awesomely driven 106Gti around there. I must have had twice his BHP!

I love Mallory! Never done a track day there but raced there on three occasions. OK, its short but its fast, easy to navigate and, as others have said, there are some ballsy corners. Even my old 1984 V6 Tasmin could manage an average lap speed of 91mph. You've got to try it out once Gerards seems to be never ending and if you get the entry and exit just right its very satisfying
