Car feels slow

I was a bit underwhelmed when I took the car out for a hoon yesterday. It was pretty hot here - about 30°. Definitely felt slower than usual.

Does the 4.7 suffer from heat soak?

It was! I kept thinking 'I must ask about this on PH".

I was even followed by a 512BBi but it didn't want to play.

It is less of an issue on NA cars (no turbo or SC) but high temps and altitude thin the air so there is less O2 to burn

I doubt it is heat soak as the intake points are well clear of the engine bay
