Loooking for a new pulley for my 500. Not being a techy type, is my crank a long or short nose?
Would a non serp pulley fit if I took it apart and fitted my bits to the damper?
Thanks for any advice

You are long nosed, that should fit.

Pre serps are short nosed.

No easy way keeping the timing still on

Tap/wiggle/pull combo is your only hope

Buy a small cold chisel a bit narrower then the woodruff key.

Gently tap from the leading edge untill you get under it and lever it out.

In an emergany youi could grind down a substantial screwdriver and use that.

I have a selection of cold chisels here smile.
