So one of my cars is for sale. If I was to start a 7 day auction, what would be the best time? I've tried a few different times with a few cars over the last couple of years, but can't seem to work out the best time to get a larger audience. The car in particular sold 3 weeks ago, but the buyer hasn't paid or collected the car, so it'll be re-listed.

IMHO Sunday Evening around 20:00, 21:00 finish seems to be the preferred time and best chance of getting interest.

I usually do a 10 day listing - start it on a thursday afternoon/evening so that it will finish on the Sunday of the second weekend. Always worked well for me, just try and avoid it finishing in the middle of sporting events.

The mass wisdom always seems to be to end Sunday evening with that being the most likely time people are at home and not much on TV. The downside with that is the whole world and his dog have auctions ending on Sunday evening, you may be better off switching to another day so there is less competition. Wednesday and Thursday evenings seem to get a good response. (No soaps on TV on a Wednesday)

Thanks for the advice guys, I've went with Zips comment and scheduled it to start at 20:30 tonight. I don't think I can be bothered waiting any longer to sell it. Just a bit pee'd off now, as the non paying buyer has caused the car to sit there for a month, and now it only has 11 months MOT left. rolleyes

Thank you.
