If you go to the off side of the sump next to the oil/water/power steering pump you will see a large Nut IIRC 24mm size or there about's that is it remove and the spring will come out.
The oil light and oil pressure gauge are independent. If both indicate an oil issue then the chances of both throwing a false positive are quite low. I definitely wouldn't drive it. And to ask the obvious, have you dipped it for oil at all, as they do use oil..
many thanks guys,removed pressure gauge pipe o/s wing today & very little pressure, shall inspect spring tomorrow & post outcome tomorrow, not looking to good.
