350i Door mirrors wanted series 1,

I am looking for a pair of series 1 door mirrors or steel backs for these if anybody knows of any?
Looking for original fitment type so i dont have to modify holes in doors etc.
Does anybody have some?

Hi

You will find it very hard to find new steel backs, you can get replacment fibreglass ones from TET mouldings. They look just like the steel ones but don't rust!

I got some pods from DG, which apparently match the later 350 style. They still look good on a series 1 2.8, and after a bit of hacking, managed to fit electric mechanisms from a Holden Commodore too... (Therefore Opel/Vauxhalls might work...)

A bit of a pain to fit, as you have to dismantle the entire front window rail to fasten them in !!

Yes it can be done, just needs a bit of time!
When done they look OK, with the benfit no more rustie backs!

No worries - I forgot to mention that being GRP you also have to prepare and paint them (black or matching the car) so yes, a bit of work...
