Toyota running this year, Honda looking for works teams, could this be the start of the revolution for LMP1? I can see Audi making an honourable withdrawal after a victory this year and maybe next year, i absolutely admire Audi as a team and there organisation but is this a change we need, I think things could get interesting soon, thoughts anyone?

I really hope you're right - LMP1 certainly needs more works competition.

Looking forward to Porsche coming back to LM - not sure if it's 2013/2014 now?

Ive not heard much about porsches return to LMP1, what are there plans? Tbh the more the better, anybody who might keep Audi busy so we dont have to be entertained with what is effectively there road developement programme on a race track ;-)

Porsche were due back 2014, which I thought was a big gap from the announced return. I would have thought they could have got a car out by 2013.

Hope Audi does stay, as they are the benchmark.

Audi have got things so organised its great to watch how well thought out there operation is but with the Japanese starting to take a serious interest again I can't help but think how long will Audi hang around for (a couple of years I hope) considering all there achievements to date, it'll be nice to see a serious effort again in LMP1 from porsche.

Would Audi and Porsche compete against each other in LMP1 seeing as they are both part of the VW group? Unlikely as they don't like to put sister brands against each in motorsport..... Skoda do rallying, Seat touring cars......

Dr Ullrich has already said that Audi could compete against Porsche. Audi go racing in the correct way, they look for competition, they do not hide from it and they have expressed that view many times. I think, and hope, that they will be there for a while yet, at least long enough for Baretsky to get his wish of building another petrol engine (not that I dislike the diesels, far from it, but I think Baretsky is a genius).
