Heading to Hannover airport this morning and giving the rental Seat Lean diesel a bit of stick in an open speed section of the autobahn.
Noticed on the dash a small Michelin sticker advising top speed for the tyres of 190km/h.
So started slowing down to a nice safe 180 then ......
WHOOOSH
Bugatti. Euronext blasts past doing 300 and something.
My little Seat shuddered as it also crapped itself.
Absolutely awesome car (Bugatti not the Seat).
No sound of a car screaming at its limit but just an almighty Wooosh.
Had to laugh just to release my emotions.
Amazing.

Friend of mine was doing 155mph in his M5 'playing' with a Merc when he spotted something in the distance behind him. Very quickly a Veryon appeared in a similar 'Whoosh' fashion. He said it was amazing having something pass you when you are going so quickly.

Yes.

A man with poor observation skills was surprised when a car overtook him.

Keep up. It's Bugatti's new Europe-only model. It features stretched tyres, a stuffed animal hanging from the rear towing eye and a roof rack full of st that was laying about the factory.

ARRRGGGG.
Sorry everyone I was on my I-Phone and never noticed all the auto spell corrections.

Anyway when a car comes up behind doing at least 100mph faster than you on a sweeping curve there aint much scope for rear view mirror spotting before its on top of you.

Mods,. Please delete the hole thread. I cant be bothered to correct all the spelling.

OK keep it open but I'm not correcting any spelling.
But it was amazing.
My observation skills are attuned to being careful on the autobahn.
Far more important than the occasional UK ton +, rear observation is far more imp0rtant on the autobahn because of the high volume of of speed differentials.
If he was doing in the area of 240 umph as suspected, then that's 1 mile every 15 secs.
As I was going about 110mph then it's still 1 mile in 30 secs he's gaining on me so if you think 500 yards in less than 10 seconds and on a curve then not much observation time.
OK been up 26 hours now. Better get to bed.

I've been correcting some of my drunken posts.
They were pretty bad I must say. drunk
