What is the best way to rid yourself of the little buggers?!

We are staying with with friends at their house in the South of France and there seems to be an infestation which we can't clear with any products bought locally. We aren't sure where they came from as none of us own animals in the UK, although there was a cat staying here for a while which seems to be the likely culprit. We have been told that it is not unknown for this to happen out here. Why???

Back to the question though; can anyone suggest a good methof for iradicating the bloody things? We have sprayed the house three times so far and haven't succeeded.... Help!

TIA

If you've tried the off-the-shelf products with no success get the fumigators in.

Only one way to get rid of fleas, and it's guaranteed!

Before the stuff we use on the cats now that has eradicated the problem (the odd one) for us, there was a weapons grade stuff we used to get from the vets and then the hoover. A lot. Try the vets over the counter.

And make sure you hoover right up against the skirting board.

Fleas / ticks/ bity insects don't like garlic in food. Perhaps that's why the French adopted the garlic habit.
