Whilst removing my battery I noticed that the fasteners that secure it are missing :-(

Can anyone tell me the size of these fasteners please?

Do you mean the bolts or the captive nuts? as the bolts are M8 20mm in length approx.

Are the captive nuts set into the battery holder?
The battery holder on mine appears to have blind threaded holes in its base, so I'm after the fasteners to secure this?
It's a 1998 model & I think they did change on later cars?

If they are still present, check the captive nuts are secure and not turning.

I had to cut one of my bolts off using a cutting disk as it's captive nut was turning.

When I got the box out I secured the spinning captive nut with some epoxy putty and it's been fine ever since.

If you have a RivNut tool that would be a better option.
