That is the sort of car that should be selling fairly easily at the moment, although what some may count as high miles may put some people off.

Cars usually don't sell because the price is too high.

I spent 2 months trying to sell my daughters Nissan Note, ended up selling it to WBAC just to get it away

Out of curiosity ask WBAC what they would give and see how far apart/close your asking price is

Hi there guys, I got a fig of £3250 from WBAC, been advertised for £4000, I brought it for £5000 in January for my son, but he cant afford it anymore so need to sell it, theres not many about of same age and model, got it on gumtree and had it on autotrader, which costs a fortune!

Im not sure how E-bay works when it comes to selling cars, but could you not put it on there with a reserve of £3250 or something and see how you go.

Price is the biggest deciding factor. Market is very tight currently. If you price it right it will sell. Ebay is certainly worth a try Good Luck

If its not selling its too expensive. Just because you paid high doesn't mean you can sell high, unfortunately.

My car has lost £8000 in the last 18 months.

Maybe if you dropped to £3600 you'd drum up interest.

In the last 2months i have sold 3 vehicles. 08 caddy van 2.0 tdi sold within 10 days. Wife's mk4 golf tdi sold within 14hrs. My B5 S4 sold within 4 days. All of them were extremely clean, full service, lower miles and not needing anything done to them. Good photos and the advert should give all the info. Look at what similar cars are selling for. Ask yourself would you buy it? Good luck.
Van sold on gumtree, golf on an audi forum, S4 on p/heads

Ive looked at what price other focus's are selling for of similar model/age/mileage, there is a big price diference running between £3700 to £6000, so quite hard to know what to price it at

cheers

Look at the prices of the cars that have actually sold and that might be the price you will need to match to get your son's sold. If the car is on PH, post up a link and we can give you feedback which could help.
Good Luck.

Yep, onto ebay and click the "completed listings" box, that gives you a nice spread of what they go for rather than what folk are asking.
