Just had a quote for insurance renewal on E60 M5....£344 with LV.

Bargain I'd say as my current insurer wanted £680 on first quote.

Amazing - LV quoted me something in the range of 900 for a renewal - right side of 40 for insurance purposes, max no claims, no accidents/claims/tickets, etc. Best they would do when pushed was in the range of 600 with a tracker required.

I've only got 3 years NCB, but do have clean license. The trick to my lower premium is to play admiral and elephant off each other. They are the same company under different names and seem to respond well to the tactics I employ. Guzunder!

I pay about the same, £350 fully comp with a tracker. It is on a fleet policy, GT3, M5, modified Evo and the family Volvo costs about £1500 all together.

I'm with Elephant and you can just get a new quote from them and they'll match it for the renewal.

I have done as you say with Admiral before but most of the time Elephant is cheaper. I add my dad as a named driver and let him have a go... this saves me £200. I'm a web designer and developer. Calling myself a web designer saves £50 over a web developer. Saying I sometimes use another car saves me a bit (this is true before anyone starts).

After reading this thread I decided to be quoted happy!!
Not very happy, ML55 was £1435 which is £800+ more than my renewal.

I'm 25 and if I had an E39 M5 it would be £780 fully comp, Admiral.

Getting married earlier this year seems to have brought my insurance for the M3 down by £200...

Given the cost of a wedding, I can't claim to be quids in, but every little helps!
