Hi Guys,

I'm in need of some inspiration so I thought I'd start a what car thread, its not for your typical family saloon though.

I'm opening an indoor go-karting circuit and at some point we may be looking to purchase a vehicle for promotional purposes. We'd be looking for something that would attract the maximum attention for the minimum cost and preferably related to karting/motorsport in some way.

Hit me with some ideas smile

Thats a good shout but more than we were looking to spend but maybe something to think about in the future.

The Elise is also a potential and the Seicento is awesome but won't create the right visual impression.

Other vehicles we've considered are;-

Road legal go-kart
Road legal single seater
Ford F150 lightning

Something now cool and sporty from the early 80's that jogs some childhood memories. Fiesta XR2i, Audi quattro, BMW 635i, Escort XR3i, E30 325i.

Must be very good condition and original though, the difference between good nick or "can't afford to run something newer" is slim.

I hate to say it but a smart car would be the closest thing to a kart in roadgoing form. Rear drive, short overhangs, two pedals, engine in the back. You could get a silhouette of a Kart drawn around the cars wheelbase for even greater effect.
