Payments for SCH and more details
Discussion
Hi all, I've spent the morning sending out emails to those of you who have signed up for SCH asking for payment for mugs, camping and the evening BBQ. Unfortunately, I have decided not to do T-shirts due to lack of numbers.
I will be doing the mugs, but if you are still undecided about coming and will want a mug, please sign up quickly!
I have also outlined in a little more detail how the event will run,in particular timings for the run out etc, this is copied below (there has been some changes):
Event details.
Location: Niagara Sports and Social Club, Niagara Road, Sheffield S6 1LU.
Facilities: camping is available on Friday and Saturday night, there are showers and toilets, a bar and even a gym if you are inclined to use it!
Friday 6th July.
I will be at the the venue from about 3pm for any arrivals, but the Club is open at any time. A limited range of food will be available from the bar from 7pm until 9pm; if you haven't done so already, please let me know if this is required as this is being laid on as a favour! If you prefer the usual range of fast food and restaurants are close by if required.
Saturday 7th July.
The run-out will begin at 10.30am and will take us along the Snake Pass for lunch at the Lamb Inn ( www.goodfoodpeakdistrict.co.uk ), which is a lovely coaching inn, and a change from the original venue due to access arrangements. I have arranged for a choice of food and we will notify choices as we leave Niagara to save time and confusion when we get to the pub. We should be at the pub for about midday.
We will return through the beautiful Hope Valley and Castleton, into Sheffield along Ecclesall Road, which should give the shoppers and coffee drinkers something to talk about!
In the evening the BBQ will start about 1930hrs, and the bar will be open throughout the evening.
Sunday 8th July.
You should already be aware that due to commitments of staff and resources for the Olympics, the Emergency Services Show has been cancelled this year, which is a shame. We will therefore have the venue to ourselves for the show on Sunday. Jaye Ridley has done a great job arranging the raffle and there will be the usual judging and prizes available. Whilst there won't be a show, I hope I will be able to get some police friends to pop in with Dogs, horses, cars and helicopters for a chat and a look around (sorry, strictly no helicopter rides available!).
Hope that helps, if you have any questions please drop me a line or give me a call on 07810055920.
Many thanks for coming to the show,
Simon.

guys - i am keen to join you but have a (very frustrating) theatre booking in Norwich on Saturday evening.
What time do you recon you will return to sheffield after the saturday run-out on the snake pass? I am just wondering how many hours driving I can do in one day!
Home to sheffield is 3 and half hours so I guess 6.30 start etc etc, then I assume all finished about 2? I might just get back in time for a quick spruce up before 7pm theatre......
Alternatively if I left home on Friday......
She wont like this idea and I may have unnacceptable penalties forced upon me

Surely in the best thespian tradition you have a stand-in to take your part? After all, the show must go on.What time do you recon you will return to sheffield after the saturday run-out on the snake pass? I am just wondering how many hours driving I can do in one day!

Depends how long we take for lunch, but 2pm back in Sheffield is probably ambitious for the main group. You could leave a bit earlier though if you take a quick lunch. Definitely do-able, given a 7pm theatre deadline. What time do you recon you will return to sheffield after the saturday run-out on the snake pass?
