I thought that these looked like a great tyre: much better grip than the T1Rs and a little more manageable in the wet than R888s.

They wouldn't fit on my original 15" & 16" Imolas, so would also need new rims - a good reason to get something a little bigger!

I was planning to put the 205/50/16s on the front with ProRace 1.2 7x16 wheels and 245/40/17s at the back with 9x17 wheels.
Overall rear tyre dimensions would remain the same as my current (245/45/16), but the fronts would have a diameter 11mm bigger than with my originals (205/55/15). Would this cause any issues with handling or fouling on the body work? Seems pretty minimal.

I wondered whether anybody else had fitted R1Rs? What experiences people had... do they work - did you get an improvement in the dry... are they too exciting in the wet?! What sizes & wheels did you put them on?

Any advice would be gratefully received!
Cheers, Mark.
