Just a quiery really. Is it illegal to have both R/F's and non R/F's on the car at the same time or is it just an 'advisory' not to mix the two?

I am currently running non-run flats on the front and run flats at the rear. I have had an MOT with no advisories.

I don't think it is particularly recommended - but I have had no adverse handling characteristics. The naysayers will probably be along soon saying I have invalidated my warranty/ insurance and will fall off the road at the first corner I approach.....

Marcia; no, it`s not illegal to mix runflats and non-runflats on the car.

The only illegality with mixing concerns mixing cross-ply and radial tyres front and back, or on the same axle.
