Calling on compulsive cleaners & polishers

In addition to being a superb car to drive, the Aston also gives me an outlet for my OCD tendencies; I enjoy cleaning & polishing it immensely.
What I'm having trouble with is finding the proper lotion, potion, or technique to clean the aluminum/aluminium "blocks" on either size of the engine (shock towers?) where the side-to-side cross brace attaches. They seem to take on a yellow/brown tinge that's very difficult to clean.
Everything else under the bonnet cleans up well and stays clean, making these parts really obviously not up to par. Anybody know the secret to cleaning these properly?

Good scurb with an general cleaner (I use Meguirs APC @ 4:1 with water)
Then a coat of Meguirs Hyperdress to seal them
I do this once a year on the whole engine bay.

It's called the London Olympics so apart from the odd item it will be well away from you. I don't think half of London wants it anyway
As I say, get to Scotland before you need a passport to get in. And take the Aston instead of that silly gypo van. I'm sure Meg will be overjoyed
