Hi all - Apologies if this sounds like a random request but looking for safe and secure parking in Bristol. Will elaborate...

Going there on a stag do in a couple of weeks time, wouldn't normally take the 997 as I always park in a multi-story and it with the areo kit it doesnt even stand a chance getting up the ramps. But as the stag loves Porsches I thought I'd make an effort to bring it out as it could be good fun.

Also, I used to live in Bristol a few years back and had nothing but bad luck with public car parks with either damage or break ins ( I'm sure it's not that usual in Bristol, I just seem to be unlucky or maybe it's just my choice or parking spaces)

So does anyone know of a relatively flat, and secure place to park a 997 for the weekend in central Bristol?

Cheers guys.

Bristol has historically had a high level of car crime so it's not just you I'm afraid. All the places I park are multistorey I'm afraid

I always park in the underground car park behind @bristol whenever I need to go into the middle of Bristol. Never had a problem, prices are ok and if you are lucky you'll get your own personal parking space. They've won awards for the safety/security of their car park. The entry down ramp looks steep but its fine in my aerokitted (extra chin spoiler) and lowered 996C2. Never caught it. I've never had to go down from the top level to get a space in the evenings, so there's only the entry ramp to contend with. The pedestrian crossing humps on the way in are also fine in my car.

@Bristol underground car park isn't bad and is very central if you're hitting the bars around the harbourside but I'm not sure I'd leave my car there overnight at a weekend. Try parkatmyhouse.com and see if you could get some secure gated parking in the centre. I use the site when I go to London and found it a great way to get safer off street parking with less hassle.

If Im at home that weekend you can par at mine and walk into town. Ive got secure parking behind big wooden gates. what are the dates?

Having said that - there are loads of flash cars parked in the street around clifton all the time.

I'm lucky enough to have parking at work centrally, but if I didn't I'd go with the parking in Millennium Square (@bristol) as suggested by others. Secure and modern, but not too pricey...

Thanks all - @Bristol is usually my preferred parking, secure and cheap and close to centre, only problem with it is the slope, my car is very low and would be very doubtful of it making it up or down without damage :-(

Obiwonkeyblokey - It would be weekend on 14th / 15th / 16th June

May well just leave it at home, would be great to take it down, but would no doubt just spend the whole weekend worrying if its ok, and as its a stag do I should really be out concentrating on drinking.

I had a night out in Bristol this weekend and I have to say I was very impressed with the set up at Cabot Circus.

Nice new car park, which is very well lit and appears to have good security. 24 hrs was just £16 too so a bit of a bargain.

If you park at @Bristol be careful as you leave... Had momentary brain fade yesterday and managed to kerb one of my wheels just after the ticket barrier. Cue lots of swearing! banghead
