What is the general consensus on the aftermarket afterburner rear lights?

I was browsing through some photos this evening, and came across a few cars with these fitted, and think they look pretty good.

As far as I can tell, Zertec used to make them, but now similar one's are available from quadconversions.co.uk.

I did a quick photoshop which looked pretty good, but hard to tell what it would look like in the flesh!

Does anyone happen to have a set lying around they want to get rid of?!

Total chav rubbish.

Best looking rear clusters for a Chim were fitted standard on the late model.

There were two types of "afterburner" lights - they were made with 3 and 4 lights.

It depends on the colour of the car I think. I did look at that option, but I don't really like them on silver cars. I think they need darker lights.

+1. Got the three light ones on mine from when i bought it. They look like they should be stuck on the back of a corsa along with a drainpipe for an exhaust and an old sinktop for a roof spoiler.... Have a set of originals to go on when all the other jobs have been done.smash... (about 2016 the way it's going rolleyes)

I really like this style - however, a pure 'nice to have' when there are so many 'must haves' to sort before, means a little longer wait for me!

They look better than the three light Mk4 Fiesta Lexus style thingies....

Best of luck with the search - keep us posted!

Fair enough laugh

Are they three light ones like these:

As opposed to the ugly lexus ones?

Same as the lower set. At least the upper set appear decent quality (I stand to be corrected) though still not for me. My set look a little Toys R Us.

I like the first one mate ,those after burner TVR lights are a load of rubbish ,concocted by useing military lights and thin bit of moulded plastic. Where do you get those one`s from ?

In that case I agree with you, I wouldn't want the bottom one's anywhere near my car!

The top one's aren't too far off the later style lights, but keep the smoked lens cover so it wouldn't be such a drastic change.

I don't know who you're agreeing with, but they're definitely the right way up!

I may be mistaken but aren't they quite rare/expensive?

I remember them from my MK3 days, and though they were quite sought after.
Maybe not so much now as there probably aren't many MK3's left!

Ive got the Raceproved Afterburners on my Cerb..

i dont like the fiesta or the land rover lights that TVR fitted as standard on the Chim and Cerb. I personaly love the after burner look, and there much brighter at night and there fore safer. Which is a big plus point for me as i often have the kids in the cerb. i followed a mate s cerb the other day and i must say the fiesta brake lights are very poor by todays standard.
