Check in time for London City Airport in the morning

[kingston12]

I have flown from City many times in the evening, but I am about to book a 07.50 departure to Amsterdam. Ideally, I'd like to arrive at the airport at 07.00 (to avoid an excessively early wake up!)

I know that is used to be easy to arrive within an hour of take off at City, but is this still the case? Has anyone done it lately?

I've never had problems doing so, but usually check in online and just have hand luggage. Of course getting a tug at security could put a spanner in the works too.

Thanks. I will be checking in online and will only have hand luggage too, so will hopefully be ok.
