Alright Ladies and Gents? Long time since I've been around these parts, however, I would like to know the best places to look for a broken Cerb, preferably a good body and chassis with a broken Engine.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Thank you for that, but, I did say I'd prefer it cheap and broken, that is neither and has far too good an engine to throw away.

Hi Woral

If you hang around long enough... Im sure Gazzab will blow one up for you.....hehe

Or you could try Jackwibble... His Cerbs engine is pretty much knackered after I last ragged it laugh

But on a more serious note... I've not heard of one going for a while now but I'm sure you will be PM ed if any are about.

Good luck

Probably more chance of Mr PInk LAdy's 4.8 going bang but you would have to budget for a re-spray unless you like PInk of course

One in the ebay link is probably as cheap as you'll get. Any cheaper would mean an owenr is better off dropping 4k on a rebuild and selling it as such.

aI didn't think you had gone. However, if you are looking for a rescue car then (and I'm unashamably, totally bias) go Topcats Chevy and enjoy the 'Torque' for road day driving. It's the old RV8 engine principles with the latest new technology. Torque is for the road ( why diesels are good now )and bhp for the race track if you keep the revs.

I don't like Audi, and never had for some reason but they make powerful cars, but it is about the feel, characteristic and driver input (mistakes) which makes driving interesting. I'm going backwards because I like drivers driving a car which is why I like TVR.

That's the rout I want to go down, but I want to do it myself. I'm basically designing a modern TVR. Good looks, modern reliable engine, powerful, light, abs, power steering, no TC?, and just oodles of fun. smile

Hmmm... If you're going that far, I'd include TC but make it switchable. wink It would make the car that little bit more forgiving in crappy weather.

You have a point and I am toying with the idea, I just loved the cerbera, no TC but a HUGE amount of throttle travel to keep things in shape.
