Footman james won't insure me due to my age.

Refused to insure me as im only 23. Well that was a waste of time joining the owners club. Luckily compare the market people got me a decent quote.

Couldnt believe the attitude... Wouldnt even ask what the car was once i said 23 and jag it was just a straight no. Not happy.

Perhaps you should have asked the owners' club about insurance first; I'm sure they'd tell you that FJ had an age limit - it's no secret.

try Adrian Flux instead, they were able to insure me at under 25 on a classic policy (this was a few years ago mind...)

I'm 28 and many classic car insurers wouldn't offer me a quote on the Jensen... between me being only 27 (when I took the policy out), and Dad having a less than holy licence, insurance was a pain.

I have a fantastic policy however with classicline.

Sorry but thats just a joke. Im old enough to vote, to drink and to get blown to pieces in afghan but im not old enough for this company to give me the time of day.

I find it stupid that i can drive A mastiff but not a jag according to them.

They're a superb company. They keep my premium extremely low by not insuring idiots.

It's a great way to run an insurance company. They're great customer service wise too

You tried one insurer who refused to insure you then tried another who gave a competitive quote. What's to be narked about?

As I'm starting a new policy, with 0 NCB (using the NCB I have on another car) they're not able to offer cover to me, they require at least 1 years, so the guy explained this all to me, was very helpful and polite, and told me to call them back when my insurance was up next year.

I'm insured on a classic policy with them, leaving my 7 years NCB unused, meaning I should probably buy another car so, you know, I don't lose the NCB

Im narked because they dont make things clear. They have a website saying call us and we will bend over backwards to help you out. And then dont even have the courtesy to let you finish your sentence. Im narked because to me it seems like a joke. Try Sky Insurance, they always come up with the best quote for me. Including an Evo, an M3, Integra all under the age of 25.

Old enough to vote, yes, but still so much to learn in life.
There are many specialist classic car insurers, and each will have their own restrictions. You've found a reasonable quote elsewhere so all is well. Everyone will have a similar story; that's the way it is. Deal with it and get on with life - moaning like a child won't help.

If id have gotten those manners i wouldnt have minded. I was just told they dont cover under 25s on jaguars and had the phone put down.

Good one. Just managed to ignore the rest of my post when i said that. I was pointing out that living where i can drive 6 ton 6 wheel armoured vehicles but cant drive a jag is stupid.

If you want to throw any more insults at me i suggest you do it in person rather than over the internet.

It does say on their website drivers must be over 25.
