My 2002 carrera has 285 30 18 Michelins on the back, is it possible to fit 295 30 18?

They will fit but will alter your gearing and speedometer reading due to changing the rolling radius.

Thats what people say, but in practice there can be such a difference between different manufacturers 285/30/18s, that increasing the size to a 295 makes no difference at all.

Directed towards me? If so then you have missed my point, which was: that three tyres of a similarfitment from three separate manufacturers, may be three totally different sizes and that this slightly larger size from another manufacturer may be smaller than some examples in the 'correct' size...

How clear was that? hehe
