"Worth" that much, or cost that much, two different things, E30 M3's have come of age having been just an old BMW for a long time, just seems a tad bizzarre that they go for that much relative to the E36 M3, you can get a decent E36 M3 cab for five grand, a minter for eight, is this really worth seven times as much ?
Must be relative rarity of the E30, and not many of them were cabriolets but then again all the buzz around them is the coupe anyway.

E30 M3 values have consistently been talked up for a good few years now.
Arguably, rarer examples such as the sport evo, Cecotto etc will always tend to demand a premium, but the whole thing has blown wildly out of proportion in my view.
The prices being asked are specualtive and normally apply to low mileage/high provenance examples that only see car collections - which shows by the cars standing around for an age at the 'dealers'.
Usable examples have still seen a sizeable price increase, but are certainly more realistic in terms of what the prices should be as the difference between both examples is hugely disproportionate.
Nostalgia is big business (apparently) hence the nonsensical ticket prices.

The thing is that even though it's a mint car, with the best will in the world that looks like 7 - 8K worth of car.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
