... they change the wheels on the late S1 elises? I hate them, dont think they suit the car at all. I've found what seems to be a very good example(14000 miles, £13K T plate standard S1) but, just can't bring myself to put the money on it every time i think about those wheel.

I noticed a fair few other changes with the latter S1 as well - dash, steel discs, and engine cover prop instead of plastic tray, any thing else onteworthy?

The later S1's have a stainless braded clutch hose which lets you change gear when the car is hot!

which is nice.

Rumour at the time was that Lotus fell out with the original supplier over who was going to pay for a lot of Esprit V8 wheels that had to be recalled.
