Having just acquired an S2, my insurance are keen for it to be fitted with a Cat.2 immobiliser.

I have been pointed in the direction of Carl Baker, who I am going to call tomorrow.

However, Petersfield is a long slog for me, and I have spent an awful lot of time recently travelling to far flung places to get car jobs done - I can't really justify the time to be honest.

Last time I had an alarm fitted, a company came and did it on my drive, which would be a great option - but I don't want the car butchered!

Any suggestions closer to home (Bromley) or who might come to me?

Trust me Carl is worth making the effort for.

Another big 'thumbs up' for Carl from me. A few years ago he fitted a new immobiliser and hot start kit to my car, which cured a long standing intermittant starting problem. Nice guy too.

I'd love to be able to throw in a wildcard but I can't - Carl did a bloody good job on mine, he might not be the cheapest but he knows his way round that pile of ratsh*t spaghetti that doubles as a wiring loom, he lets you know what's going on, gets the job done ready for when you've agreed - even if it takes him into the evening, doesn't go daft on charging more if the job takes longer etc.

Just get it down to Carl - it's not worth the grief of using someone who doesn't even know how to get the dash top off!

It is best to go to Carl.

He will do it once and do it right.
