I was there , so was a contingent from Warks TVRCC inc Tusc,Cerb,Chims,Griff & my Wedge

Very damp i'm afraid , put the numbers down a bit but still a varied turnout including a V12 supercharged 'hot rod' , an AEC Matador recovery lorry! ,some big-assed Dodge RAMs/Ford lightnings, Sunbeam Lotus( love those ) older americana/British sports MGB MGC,Sunbeam Alpine, minis /Jap exotica etc basically a melting pot of varied metal ......better than watching Emmerdale / or any other Soapy stuff!

Glad you had a good meet - was late finishing work, (7.45pm) and it was absolutely fecking *****ing down here it was all I could do to get home 6 miles in it! I`d have been better off with a raft than a wedge!

Hope it was somewhat drier were you were?

[quote=father ted]Sunbeam Lotus( love those )

Ah Father, a man of taste! I love the Lotus too, In my youth I ownwd a Sunbeam in which I fitted a 2 Litre Pinto engine, twin webbers and 5 speed box from a Sierra, full cage and all the bits, bloody quick for a little hatch at the time. Still thinking about a Cosworth Sunbeam if I get the chance and the time.

Well done for braving the weather!

Yeah , i was brave but i did have my roof up and felt thoroughly ashamed when a chap turned up in his E-type having driven all the way to the pub with the roof off in the downpour Hero!

Gandalf ....yeah the immobiliser is sorted .....next up is the fitting of new 'zorst & manifolds ......due to the erroded flanges the exhaust leak when cold is getting very bad.....so much so i am gonna rename Wendy Wedge ...........

Yeh, all that pleasure and you dont have to buy her dinner everytime you want to take her out, or go shopping for shoes afterwards!

Glad to hear imob sorted and good luck with the pipes, are you fitting stainless manifolds or standard?

(Andy how are you looking for Shelsley - I am meeting 3 counties gang at Little Chef off junct 9 M5 at 9.00am?)

Theres room for another one Father Ted if your interested plenty of horsepower going up the hill that day including Lotus F1 cars.

Steve, hopefully will know some more in a few days, they started the work today so if the weathers good it should get finished pretty quick!
Appologies if you have mailed me at home, my pc deceased 2 weeks ago had to format the drive and couldn't back anything up to cd before hand
Should be back up in a few days,do you still have the picture from BBWF?

Sunday 15th August 3c`s are meeting at Birdlip at 8.25am I am planning to join convoy at Little Shelf (off junc 9 M5) at 9.00am.
See thread for more details www.tvrtalk.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=299&goto=newpost

Let me know your plans ps Andy may be looking for a ride if he ca`nt get the wedge out of the garage (long story involving DIY on house not car!) so might well be worth dropping him mail if you have a free seat?

(I`ll just get me cue - I`m leaving)

Hi Father Ted,

hope they are giving Mrs Doyle the weekend off as we desperately need someone to make the tea and sandwiches for the PICNICHEADS outing to Shelsley.

Thanks for uploading the pic of Shadowfax taking me round the car park, are you sure I was moving? I would have expected the background to be a blur or is it some clever trick with Photoshop?

If you looking in Andy I trust that you will be able to break the car free this Sunday?

Spent Sunday over at Rutland with East Mids TVRCC (42) Tivs and splendid crowd but a bit of a jaunt (230 mile round trip) but nothing fell orrf and everything is still working!

By the way how are you supposed to keep your hat on above 120mph

(academic question as we would never condone or attempt such a danergerous and foolhardy thing on the UK roads)

Speak to you both soon I hope
(ps trust the zorst was a doddle?)
