Friction Performance

Performance Friction even, Senior moment you will all have them one day.

Has anyone used PF 06 pads ?

I know these pads have avery good reputation and their performance is not really in any doubt, are these a "track only" pad, can I expect them to be very noisy on public roads or are they well mannered ? also how do they perform from cold ?

I'm looking to upgrade to Z-rated or 06 pads and need the benefit of your knowledge.

Not a track only pad. they squeaked like mad on road on my 996 GT2 and I tried 2 other sets to try and sort the problem. Last set was better but still squeaked on lighter brake pressure (coming up to junctions etc). Heavy braking was fine though. Worked well from cold. Other have had less squeaks than me i believe.

Think I might go with the Z rated pad as the noise would dive me mad.

note that mine had the PF discs too, so it may be different on standard discs. Still, squeaking when you roll up alongside traffic isn't very cool.
