Im fed up with nespresso, yes its decent (hold it in coffee snobs) but its not good enough. Also the range is vast and you cant try them all (Im a blue lunghi).

In a restaurant recently i noticed the coffee was in pods and it was Illy however it was a large pro machine.

Im aware of smaller ones but can anyone advise from experience?

I'm a blue lungo too smile Or was - until I gave up coffee. banghead

You can try them all - just get a selection pack.

However if you like the blue lungo, you might also like 'Rosabaya' and 'Dulsao de Brasil', lungo style.

The Illy ESE system was, I think, the original one (pre-nespresso). It's better too IMO.

I have an older FrancisFrancis X1 which is designed as an Illy pod machine, with the ground coffee setup being optional. I modified it so it's now a 100% ground coffee machine, but before I did that I used the pods for a while. They were not at all bad (for pods).
