Which was the first car....
Discussion
Hi Guys
In an idle moment I was mulling over the following questions. Yes, I know it says a lot about how I fill my time : )
Anyway, I thought it would be good to have a thread about automotive firsts.
Let me kick off with my quandaries.
-, Which was the first modern car to "re-introduce" supercharging?
Mercedes have been rather a champion of superchargers, and of course there are the Jaguar R models and MINIs etc, but was it VW with the G60 Golf and Corrado and G40 Polo in the late 80s which re-introduced the concept to the mass market?
- Which was the first mass-produced car to use black wood, or Bird's Eye Maple as I believe it is referred to, for the interior
Now Rolls and Bentley have used black wood in the past, but I'm thinking it's the Jaguar X300 XJ Sport / XJR, swiftly followed by the Mercedes W210 Avantagarde?
