....and it came in the form of a W209 CLK55. Just picked her up. There are some monster big engine bargains out there if you don't do big miles / have deep pockets (I am the former!). Aside from one or two minor electrical points to remedy she feels like new.

Wow the engine - 376bhp has never fealt so accessible - sounds like a bloody NASCAR. People turn around to see what is coming up the road.....and I'm not flooring it.

I have owned an Z3 MCoupe and it blows that into the weeds in terms of real world speed. Other things - flappy paddle gearbox (or full auto) is actually pretty good. Handling is flat and firm but yet to really push her. Brakes are prodigiously good for such a lump (not a massive car but 2,000kg+).

Hit me with yours.......

Congrats, great buy & bargain too. BTW, I reckon your car is about 1600/1700kg as they are based on a C-Class.

Citroen C1 the other day, for six grand, nearest comparable one was nearer seven, ok it doesnt sound like a Nascar but it has an interesting three pot hum.

My 944 Cab was £4250, owner had spent six on it in three years, most go for 5 grand and up.

thumbup Enjoy!

I've got some rumbly brakes from the track day which I believe is a case of pad deposits - hopefully easily resolved.

Great looking cars, particularly in black. Seriously considering an AMG as my next car, particularly the W203 C55 AMG.

I guess out of all my cars I have owned my current car must class as a bargain.
Its an Audi a4 1.6 which had only done 53000 miles and is in excellent condition the interior including the drivers seat is still like new.
It came with 4 months tax and test and had only had a service and 4 new tyres fitted a few weeks earlier and when it came to putting it through another ticket 4 months later it went through without spending a single penny and the mot tester even remarked on how good the car was.
All for £281
It even came with half a tank of fuel lol
