New discs and pads all round Leon Cupra fitted cost?

Rears are worn and visibly are only using 1/3rd of the disc heavy corrosion on the rest and the fronts have a big lip on the disc.

Don't get me wrong it stops great (clearly could be better) zero issue with MOT but am thinking why not get these all changed then it's 5+ years worry free pad and disc issue for the wife.

So what cost an I looking at? And would you all recommend changing brake fluid at the same time too?

Upgrade to r32 discs and pads and renew the fluid at the same time.

I expect the job would be at least £300 at most garages. I would have brake and clutch fluid replaced at the same time. I did this job myself for £100 on the Mondeo, not too hard...

Surely that'd involve changing the calipers as well?

Just replace them yourself. Its very easy.

It took me about an hour to change the rears(never done anything like it before).

I will never pay a garage to do such a simple job ever again.

Perhaps just the fronts then?

Very easy and no more than an hour, will save you a fair amount of money.

Not sure, i just pushed the caliper back in with a gclamp on my toyota, as I didn't change the brake fluid. If you drain the whole system then the caliper will be much easier to retract.

if it does require a tool i can't imagine its expensive.

ETA: look at some of the video's on you tube it really is easy.

I had no previous experience, just bought a socket set, gclamp and parts and changed front and rear (discs and pads)for about £170

You'll have to wind back the rear calipers, easy to do with the right tool.

Try Euro Car Parts or GSF for parts.

I paid £320 on my Toledo TDI 'sport' - that was front & rear discs & pads plus an oil service too. Not sure if the brakes are indential to the Leon though, so parts prices may vary.

Mine were also totally shagged but still passed the MOT fine... however the difference in stopping power now they have been done is like night and day.
