SIDC Track Day at Knockhill 09/06/12
Discussion
I don't see another thread yet, so an update for all that missed it and a place to put photos, videos and comments for those that did. First off, thanks to John S for organising it - another great session with everyone being very well behaved on track. I'd been looking at the forecast all week and it was looking line another wet one, but it stayed dry up until that last 20 minutes or so, and even then there was no real difference to the grip on the tarmac, although some of the kerbs started to get a bit slippy. All in all a really great day and the car ran well
So here are some clips of in-car video from the 'tvrolet'. I've kept the footage to times with other cars on track - I guess there's not much interest in just pounding round an empty track. In fairness, most of the time the track was pretty empty despite the number of cars there and I got loads of clear laps in.

Just after the warm-up laps and there's Clios, Scoobies, Elises, an Evo, a Mini and a Dax? in this session.

This clip has a BMW, Ferrari (respect for taking it in track), Caterfield, Elise, RX8…ends with some drama with a Scooby, a marshal and a fire extinguisher.

An Evo (smoker's cough), Elise and an MX5.

Clip has a Mini, Fireblade-Caterfield, Evo, Elises, Clios, MX5. Highlight has to be the flaming Skyline from 2:30.

A longer clip with Evo, 911, Caterfields, Skyline, Elises, Mazda, Clios, Exiges, Scoobies, Caterham and BMW. Startng to spit with rain at the end.

Last stint of the day up to the chequered flag and relying on Rain-X and not wipers. Rain on now but not making too much difference to the grip on the tarmac, but being a bit more canny on the kerbs. Caterhams (R300 or 400?), Elise, Exige, Clio,

Some videos from me
A couple of laps following tut

Some more of me and my son. Nothing too exciting but a record of the day

Best one to follow later - the last 20 minute as the rain starts (having youtube upload issues)
Edit:
Final session:

The rain has starting to fall but grip is good and I get my best time of the day. As the rain gets heavier I start to short shift but have one last push on lap 17 to get a PB for a damp track. Great fun
