Don't suppose anyone has a spare rear wheel I could buy from them. Just a standard 18" Ultima one, as I damaged one of mine today - bolts sheared off, leaving me on three wheels round Blyton Park! The wheel is useable, but I'd prefer to put an undamaged one on rather than try to repair this one. All other bits afre going to have to be new.... ouch

Thanks, Andy

The main wheel bolts or the bolts that hold the rim together? Was there much damage or did you have a lucky escape?

Bolts sheared off? I would be more conserned why and what about the other wheels!

Are you running short studs or wider spacer plates ?

It is the main whee bolts that failed. Luckily it's not as bad as it could have been and nobody was hurt, but I will need a fair few new bits and a little bodywork doing. I'm desperately trying to get it back on the road for Friday, as I'm supposed to be doing Sporting Bear rides at Cholmondley Pagent of Power this weekend. We'll see...

Cheers Andy

Hi Dom

Still looking at why they failed but will replace others as well, to give a little more comfort. It's all a standard Ultima set up.

Cheers Andy

hi Andy.. pm me if you need advise or info..

Not sure why it would fail, did they snap or remove the thred on the studs... if they snapped they might have been over tightened, if stripped again over tightened or left loose.

As you know from scd im always there and willing to help..

see you at Cholmondley sat/sun

Apologies in advance for hijacking the thread, but could anyone confirm the PCD of the standard 5 stud wheel mounting pattern? Forgot to check at the workshop over the weekend.

Thanks in advance.

...and furthering the detour, can someone confirm the torque setting for the wheel bolts?
Thx

Torque settings are in the build manual CD.

I am not able to check my manual so can't give actual figures.
