We have taken part in a mates version of 'Come dine with me'.

It's all very serious, being filmed and scored.
The first couple kicked it off last month with a Bond theme. They were very, very good. With the night involving Champagne, caviar and in-house Casino and a wild cat.

This month its our turn.

We've decided on a Chav night. But to be honest, it seems to be coming closer and closer and we are really struggling for ideas. The start is fine, we will be greeting the guests with bottles of Buckfast and Lambrini. Other than that.... pretty stumped.

Any ideas??

I like it.

How about a KFC family bucket whilst sitting watching the X Factor or some other mindless drivel?

hehe

Piss stained mattress dumped in the front garden

Tesco's cocktail suasages with pineapple chunks on a cocktail stick hedgehog for aperitifs

Pot Noodle choice of Chicken or Beef for starters

Can of Stella to cleanse the pallet

Rustlers microwave burger for the main course

Artic Roll for dessert

Lambert and Butlers to be passed around with the Quality Streets and Nescafe next to the DVD library

Nothing to stop you doing a decent jerk/fried chicken in a KFC bucket.

Proper burgers in BK wrappers.

Kickass Sunday in one of the mcdonalds swirly ice cream pots you see on TV.

This sounds like a great idea. You could do a load of chicken wings easily enough and throw them in a bucket, home made chips/wedges, home made coleslaw / corn on the cob etc etc

How about "high-end" versions of normally cheap and nasty Iceland food served in plastic trays with a bell attached to replicate the sound of a microwave finishing?

Deconstructed kebab with a mint jus?

An amuse bouche of turkey dinosaurs made with foie gras?

A prawn ring constructed with lobster?

Pheasant and game chips "in a basket" with a pint of cider?

This is the way to go. Bloody good home-made food served up in genuine junk food packaging. It has winner written all over it.

Or someone to emulate one for you....

Seems a bit of a faff for some mates and no £1000 though.

That's an excellent idea.

Get the daughters boyfriend to take the food from the back door, dressed up as a delivery guy and take it around to the front door to fake a take-away.

'Alright man, here's yer dinner', even have a receipt. smashing! lol

A very good book, that.

The 'kebab' section is bang-on (I've tried them all), as are the 'red' and 'white' kebab sauces, p. 128-129.

The second one came out fairly recently, I have it but have yet to try anything in there (or the first one which I bought following one of your earlier recommendations of it). They seem a little basic in places but some of the insights save a lot of farting around with versions of things yourself.

you need to get some findus crispy pancakes in there. Not that anyone will eat them.

Or get an dazzling array of frozen goodies for a pound from iceland!

Well, I have a hang-over, was a great night had by all, started with
Buckfast and Lambrini, cocktail stick hedgehog and crisps.

Starter
Smoke salmon tortillas with rocket salad
Main
Stuffed chicken spinach, brie and sundried tomato fillets with white wine sauce
Sweet
Buckfast Summer pudding and Buckfast Cheesecake.

The we stopped for the entertainment. Decided on 'Batter the Bobby',
A policeman Pinata, rolling pin and buckfast shots.

Wonderful night. The main course was not good though frown
