Silver key not in
Discussion
Picked up my cerb from the garage a couple of days ago and just noticed yesterday that the silver key had been removed and left in the cubby hole there. The little cut outs on the key hole are lined up so it should be in the off position but ignition still works.
Question is, do I put the key back in and turn to the on position or just leave well alone?

I would go back to the garage and ask if they have done something....? If it doesnt work then that must be because someone has bypassed it now or maybe previously. I doubt that it just happens to work without the key.... (and if thats the case then I am sure it will soon stop working). I wouldnt recommend putting it back in but I guess I would find it hard to resist...
Mine became a bit dicky so I pulled the ashtray out, pulled off the connection to the key switch and fitted a toggle switch instead. Given all the problems the switch seems to cause hopefully this will be a bit more reliable (touch wood) Also as the switch is now hidden it is also very secure if switched off when parked up on the mean streets.
