Cheapest way to get to France with a (small) van.

I want to head out to the France next week. I'll be spending around 3 weeks in the south around the Biarritz area, chasing surf. I'm based north of southampton, but can get to any of the ports if the price is right. I'll be in a Peugeot Expert van, so not any bigger than an people carrier. I'm looking for the cheapest way to get across. Don't mind going mid week at funny times etc. Any bargains about?

They run out of Dover every 2 hours.
