Bamford Rose at Hever Castle - charity switches!

Some interesting news for those with Gaydon cars who are coming to Hever Castle...
Bamford Rose are going to come down for the day - Pommehogsters 4.7 conversion will be there as will be my DB9 with the full V12 manifold kit set up on it! You can all have a nose and a listen
They are also offering 10 people exhaust valve bypass switches to be fitted in exchange for donations towards Tony's and Hever's chosen charities. I have discussed with Tony the best way to do this, and because it's for charity... the ten best donations get their switches fitted on the day at Hever!
Please email me with your car type and what your donation to charity would be - BR are providing this service at their cost so EVERYTHING is going to charity here, cash on the day to Tony!

For those who don't know what the switch does; it is a small rocker switch mounted in the car so that you can open or close the exhaust bypass valves when you wish rather than pulling Fuse 22 (or 15 in newer cars). It allows you control of how much noise your car makes when you feel like it. Even I have had one fitted! Only suitable for those with standard rear boxes, which have the bypass valves in them. I note Woollie has a spare Paralight switch he is willing to donate as a prize, and I'm sure BingoBob has a surplus schosche adaptor
If Mike were to bring his Hunter kit and perhaps a few other bits and bobs I'm sure we could have a right little servicing area of which Anne Boleyn could be proud

It is a small rocker type switch that is located between the side panel and the carpet next to the fuel cap release switch. It is firmly secured using Velcro and is easy to reach whilst driving. Very discrete. It is wired into the wiring loom under the drivers side dash and there is no cutting or drilling so removal is easy if required.

I don't think so, more like 6 or 7 but all generous donations and there should be space on the day for anyone else who takes the plunge! So all who mailed me - you're in! Please go and see the Bamford Rose guys who will be there from 9am onwards - they are setting up a gazebo to work under in case of inclement weather. Donations to the famous Mr Hall on the day BR will be there from 9 but I am more likely to be there by 10 or even afterwards due to working tomorrow. If you see a bald bloke next to my car... that's not me, it's a BR boy

The throttle blips in this video need the driver to back off the throttle before the redline was reached..! back off the throttle on a throttle blip on a standard car and the tacho wont even reach half way...! This is important because translate this into the road / driving, and combined with the increased power given to the road wheels, the short time taken to hit the redline makes for RAPID acceleration.
The exhaust note is simply demonic - makes the driver feel like a naughty school boy - the car now accelerates and drives along country roads and makes the driver feel he was playing a video game and all other 'competitors' are in cars that are just there to be eaten up.
Of course, those who lust after the pipe and slippers element of DB9 this is not for them - but the exhaust switch to make it silent might help....! but those who want to turn a lazy GT cruiser into a supercar - it is now possible...!
