Guys I need advice.
I have a range rover p38 4.0l that will not fire. I have had a diagnostic guy out 4 times who does fix the problem. BUT it keeps losing its code or signal or whatever. The fob works, locks and unlocks the car. I have tried the 4digit code on the lock but not working. It started off from a draining battery I have a new battery and have been taking the lead off the neg terminal to stop it draining and doing it again but this time it has done it without draining down ???

hi, this fault is the security link between the engine ecu & the becu (body electronic control unit) & can be caused by defective alarm receiver which is located on the o/s/r under trim panel,it will also cause battery drain. Hope this helps.

Cheers for the reply. Is it as simple as buying a new one and plugging it in or do I have to reset the alarm etc too??
