Where are you camping? Just rock up and look for the nearest PHer. I'll 100% garuntee you a good time.
Beausejour
Go by yourself! I went by myself in 2010 and in many ways it was my best year. I met loads of great people, the only time I was by myself was in the car (obviously) and on the ferry (I was trying to catch a few Zzzz's).
Every petrol station or any where else en route that I stopped people would come over and talk, ask me to pop by for a beer or two. Then when I got to the campsite I immediately got chatting to my neighbour's who to this day I am still really good friends with them, in fact I went to Le Mans with them last year and am going with them this too.
I wouldn't even hesitate to go by myself again, everybody is so friendly and you immediately have something in common, after all everybody is there for the same reason - watch some racing, have something to drink cook some ropey food and to generally have a great time.
The other benefit of going alone is that you can do what YOU want when you like as you have no ties. What have you got to lose? The only way if you lose is if you don't go IMO as not only are you losing out financially but also missing out on one of the best weeks of the year.
Do it!
Which part of Beausejour are you on? I am in the Speedchills, if you are in the same area then give me a shout and we'll meet for a beer.
Now I know I keep saying this but...Just go, you will have a whale of a time!

My first Le Mans was in 2008 and I went with my young son who was 11 at the time. I was cursing some Danish B@@@@@@d who blocked my tent in when I was at Carrefour to what I thought was a German. Turned out they were Danish also, and what a weekend we had. Partied to all hours with lots of people around and its an experience i will never forget. Breakfast was coffee and Baileys.
Just go for it.
Whats the worst that will happen. Deeply sorry I cant go this year due to work commitments.

Last year I responded to a passenger wanted thread on Beermountain and had the best time with the guys I went with. So much that I'm going with the same crowd this year and my brother in law is coming along for the ride.
Trust me, get yourself over to France, you will have an awesome time and everyone will take you in. If you find yourself on Maison Blanche, feel free to join us!
