Christ on a bike! How desparate do Eurosport have to be to keep wheeling this bloke out every year for Le Mans. Currently presenting the 24 Minutes magazine programme every night - I mean, seriously, has this bloke got any experience infront of the camera, and does he know anything about race cars? Eurosport fail. On an epic scale.

I think it's the French sense humour, jacques Tati, marcel moreso, Robbie nock, I'm hoping he may yet fall (pushed) down some tribune stairs...

He is really terrible - wooden, can't read an autocue, doesn't know his subject. TV presenting is MUCH harder than it looks but I could genuinely do a far better job than him!

I'd be surprised if he has an autocue, his clunky segues into the next item, is from the script on the desk in front of him. You are right of course it is much harder, it's live, and he has talkback from director/producer in his ear about cues for next next item and commercials. What is puzzling is why he gets this one gig for the 3rd year now, he does nothing else on eurosport I've seen. Sure he maybe bilingual, but he appears to have nothing to do with Motorsport anywhere else or particularly on the channel. And he is poor. Go figure?

where does he hide away for the other 51 weeks of the year? Wherever, why does nobody throw the key away.

Inkeeping with Eurosport's finest tradition - he really is astonishingly bad.

Agree with all of the above comments, I've not posted on Pistonheads for some time, but this buffoon, makes me angry enough to post!

His handling of interviews with participants of the race (McNish/Wurz/Kristensen interviews so far) on 24 minutes is shocking and embarrassing.

He lets down the rest of the Eurosport covrerage which is both knowledgeable and of a high quality (Haven/Cole/Halliday)

C'mon Eurosport get rid of this broadcasting twit.

I only watched last nights show this morning, he was worse than the first night, I'm assuming his German co host is there as minder, he clearly has no previous interest in Motorsport bar two woeful Le Mans, he has an annoying hand gesture, his left hand keeps creeping into shot, reminds me of tony Blair, and all politicians since, you know the focus group said pointing is too confrontational way of gesturing that I could tolerate, but his inability to finish a sentence without reference to his clunky script on the desk every time just gets me going, why not read your script when they are away on vt piece. Or know his subject. I have no idea why they don't employ Haven (currently on TGV, with a dose of the trots courtesy of a dodgy French burger-twitter) or even Ben Constanduros arriving their now, to anchor this show I have no idea.

10 out of 10 to Eurosport for sticking to its guns though, and their man (clearly) Nock for a 3rd year....

I've sussed it, I'm in Germany right now watching Eurosport, for most of Europe he's dubbed into their local language so they haven't a clue how useless he is....

I do quite like Martin Haven most of the time but sometimes he comes across as an excitable know it all.

Can't abide Carlton Kirby!

He's growing on me. He's beyond bad! He reminds of David Brent.

He really is a Dick but to be honest all the Eurosport lot are. The only saving grace is that Nobby Rock is not doing the actual coverage - for that we have an equally inept boring bd in the form of Carlton!

More importantly, who is the blonde French bird who does interviews for Eurosport at Le Mans?
