Dollar car rental, Las Vegas

Hi there
Does anyone have any experience of these guys? Have two mustangs booked with them as part of a fly drive package but having looked at the online reviews they are dire in a big way. All the usual insurance and fuel cons but worst of all allegedly overbooking and giving you and equivalent that's no where near correct.
They seem to get one to two stars out of five.
Cancell and pay a Hertz/Avis premium? Or are the reviews sour customers and good service rarely gets commented on?

Dollar is owned by the same company as National, changing cars is common as unless you pay for a specific car you'll get that or similar and Dollar don't have the option of choosing a specific car.
Take it as it comes, if you get a Mustang then great but you might get something else similar like a Sebring. The Mustang will only be a standard V6 so nothing fancy

I've used Dollar the past 5-6 times in the states and they have been perfect every time.
If i remember rightly Dollar in Vegas bring a car to you - rather than a pick any car from that row. Just specify when you hand in your details what car you want and they will radio through to bring you thsat car. They have always been accomodating.

I had a Jeep off dollar and extensively off roaded it round Utah - down some paths that were not wide enough for it - trees scraping down the sides, I had to T-cut it before giving it back it was that bad, they hardly looked at it. No extra costs etc was great.
If you have the right insurance they don't care. I had a guy working for me (since fired but for something else) who returned the keys and gave them a map with the location of the destroyed car. I used Dollar out there and apart from the fact when I booked a convertible sports car they originally presented me with a hideous Chrysler in Purple and White which was quickly rectified and I had a Mustang which I had choice of Red or Blue and took the Blue.
Couldn't really complain / fault them really wasn't any issues sorting car change, no hidden charges or stupid checks. Was literally here is a sheet to sign which was basically fuel, mileage and any damage on the car. Then on return they pulled same sheet out to check that fuel was roughly same else they charge a hyped up price, wrote mileage and confirmed no damage.
Put it this way I'd use them again if required.

I ordered a Mustang Cabrio from Dollar for my honeymoon trip, I ended up with a Dodge Charger (4 door saloon), we were going to drive to LA top down but decided against it as the car was st so I hammered it down the dirt tracks (40 miles of) to the Grand Canyon instead.
The people at Dollar were not remotely bothered about it and it was just a case of 'it's tough, that's all we have'

In fact, when you ring them you are usually connect through to a West Coast Us call centre. They are incredibly helpful in my experience and it would not surprise me at all that if you ring them they will price match and ensure you have the car you want.
Best customer service I have ever had by a MILE.
