Does anyone have recommendations for touch-up paints for the interior door handle arms on a 2007MY DB9? I know the one I've bought has one small chip on the passenger side, and want to do my best to cover it up if not make it invisible.

Thanks

Someone posted this up a while back. I have some foggy recollection that a Peugeot colour was a match but have no idea why!

I also believe new handles aren't as pricey as you'd expect. But that again is a hazy recollection smile

My passenger handle is in a state. I can only assume that the DPO had a wife with many diamond encrusted rings.

Hmm, looks like it might be pricey part after all:

It's the worst for being hit/chipped with the seatbelt! Meteorite Silver is very close...

Meteorite Silver isn't close to mine as they are black

Though you don’t say which colour your door handles are, I’m betting they’re the same colour as mine; ‘mauve’ and yes, mine are chipped too… on the passenger side. rolleyes

They are silver/grey, vaguely metallic, with one white chip on the passenger side

I touched mine in with tungsten silver, as I had some anyway - it's not a perfect match, but makes the chips far less noticeable (there were 3 largish ones). Mine are a dark grey colour - sound the same as gbp's.

On a related note, any ideas for touching in scuffs on the sill kick panels? They look to be an anodised finish...almost have a purple hue to them. I did vaguely wonder about getting them resprayed in black with a hardwearing finish.

My car is in pretty clean condition but I just have these few niggly things to sort - I've only had it a couple of weeks though. Last night I got some new plates as the ones on it had the GB logo which made them asymmetrical. I have issues, I know.

I'm just looking at ordering mine - and am not putting any fancy logos or flags on them for exactly the same reason. I don't see it as an "issue", just attention to detail nerd

my drivers side is heavily chipped after 6 years ....but i thought they were a relatively cheap part just to buy a new one ? or upgrade to carbon or some other exotic finish wink

Are we still talking about door handles? Or sills?

I don't mind, just best not to mix those up when it comes to ordering. smile

any good body shop will remove , repair and re spray your interior door handles/rest....had mine done cost me £50.00 for the pair...although i suspect more heavily damaged ones will be more expensive...

As far as the sill is concerned I also had the "lilac coloured option" which I always thought looked wrong in the car( though this i phone pic looks like I chose the lilac leather seat option aswell - they are Black!)

This is probably a big no no in the Aston world, but even with my very limited DIY skills I managed to Wrap the sills in 3m carbon vinyl.my previous wrapping experience extended only to Mrs W s Xmas presents ( & I reckon all men are bad at this!!)

This has the advantage of looking a whole lot better & protecting the sills from scratching etc.for about £15.( Times are tough you know! )

With my new found "expertise" I find myself eyeing the door handles, but am worried this carbon wrapping business is the slippery slope to the Max Power world !!!

I have actually already wrapped everything that was fake wood in my 4Motion but I don't think I'll be going down that route in the DB9.
It is suprisingly easy though, and even easier to reverse.
